Children’s Home Society 5K Walk

Childrens Home Society 300x225For more than 100 years, Children’s Home Society of Florida has been helping to build strong families. This year, the Treasure Coast Division celebrates its 25th year of service providing a variety of programs that focus on child abuse and neglect prevention and intervention, adoption and adoption support service, and help for troubled, runaway and homeless teens. During the past year alone, Children’s Home Society of Florida’s Treasure Coast Division touched the lives of more than 11,000 local children and families.

Thousands of kids and teens come to us every year, hurt and confused by their past yet fearful and uncertain about the future. They rely on us for protection, healing, comfort and guidance.

Our goal: to prevent abuse and neglect for more innocent kids and to break the vicious cycle of child abuse and neglect in more families throughout Florida’s Treasure Coast.

Children’s Home Society of Florida offers services that help break the cycle of abuse in families, heal the pain for traumatized children, guide teens to successfully transition into adulthood, and create strong, loving families through adoption. The organization services more than 50,000 children and family members each year, including more than 11,000 throughout the Treasure Coast.

Your participation in this year’s event is a wonderful opportunity to provide a positive outcome for a child, whether by providing emergency shelter, counseling and outreach, or a forever family through foster care or adoption. Our children need not only us – they need you!
