How secure is Mobile Check Deposit?

Mobile Check Deposit offers the same level of security that you have with Online Banking. For added protection, the images of your checks are stored securely at the bank and not on your mobile phone.back to the top


Who is eligible for Mobile Check deposit?

Personal Checking Accounts older than 90 days. Mobile Check Deposit is currently not available for Savings, Money Market or Business accounts.back to the top


What if an account is not listed in Mobile Check Deposit?

In most cases, consumer eligible accounts will automatically be signed up for Mobile Check Deposit. If you are not sure if your account is eligible or unable to view your account, please contact Customer Care at 855-863-2265 for assistance.back to the top


What types of checks can I deposit with Mobile Check Deposit?

In general, Mobile Check Deposit can be used to deposit most checks that are payable to you, the account holder, and drawn on a U.S. bank. Foreign checks or third party checks are NOT eligible for Mobile Check Deposit.back to the top


Are there any limits on the dollar amount of deposit I can submit?

  • All Personal Checking accounts older than 90 days
  • Maximum deposit amount within 22 business days – $6,000
  • Maximum deposit amount on a single business day – $2,000
  • Maximum number of deposits per day – Five (5)
  • Maximum number of deposits within 22 business days – Thirty (30)back to the top


Do I photograph both the front and the back of my check?

During the deposit process, you will be required to photograph the front and back of your check.back to the top


How do I endorse my check for Mobile Check Deposit?

Checks deposited via Mobile Check Deposit must be endorsed with one (or a combination) of the following:

  • Signature
  • Account Number

How will I know if CenterState Bank received my deposit?

You will receive an email notification when your deposit has been received, as well as when it’s been approved, approved with a correction or declined.back to the top


When will my deposit post to my account?

Mobile Check Deposits are subject to verification and not available for immediate withdrawal.  CenterState Bank will review your deposit, and if funds are held, a Notice of Delayed Availability will be mailed to the address on file for your account.

Can I photograph more than one check at a time?

You may only photograph one check per deposit. What if the check image I photographed is not clear? You may retake the photographs of the check as many times as needed before submitting your deposit. The Mobile Check Deposit application will prompt you if the image is not acceptable. If you are unable to capture an acceptable image, you will need to take your check to your local CenterState Bank location for deposit.back to the top


What do I do with my check after submitting it for deposit?

Once you’ve received confirmation that your Mobile Check Deposit has been approved, write “Deposited by Mobile Banking” and today’s date on the front of the check and store in a secure location for 7 calendar days. After 7 calendar days, securely destroy the check.back to the top


Can I make my opening account deposit through Mobile Check Deposit?

No, at this time Mobile Check Deposit cannot be used to initially fund a new account.back to the top


What if I submitted a deposit for the wrong amount? Do I need to resubmit the deposit?

No, you do not need to resubmit your deposit. In the event the wrong amount is entered, you will receive a Deposit Approved with a Correction email notification which will state your new or corrected deposit amount.back to the top


What if I submit the same check for deposit twice in error?

You will receive a declined deposit notification for the second submission received through Mobile Check Deposit.back to the top


A check I submitted was returned, can I resubmit the item?

If a Mobile Check Deposit item is returned, please take the legal replacement copy received and visit your local branch for assistance. Mobile Check Deposit will not accept the legal replacement copy for deposit.back to the top


Is there a fee for using Mobile Check Deposit?

There is no additional fee for using Mobile Check Deposit service, but we recommend that you check with your service provider to see if there are any wireless carrier fees.back to the top


What are some tips on using Mobile Deposit?

  • Make sure that all other apps running in the background are closed.
  • Make sure that the check amount entered matches the amount on the check.
  • Verify that the back of your check is endorsed with your signature and “For Mobile Deposit Only”
  • Flatten folded or crumpled checks before taking your photos
  • Keep the check within the on-screen corners when capturing your photo
  • Capture your photos in a well-lit area
  • Place the check on a solid dark background before taking photo
  • Keep the phone flat and steady above the check when taking your photo
  • Make sure the entire check image is visible and in focus before submittingback to the top
